CommScope's 5E55 is a really good Cat5E cable that tends to not kink
much when installed. If you can swing it, go with Cat 6 if you're
planning on running video.

Extron's video over twisted pair adapters are great. We've got a couple
of spots where we're running 100' of 1080 HDMI over a pair of Cat6
cables.

Subject: [itdiscuss] Cat-5 VGA

We're in the middle of completely remodeling our stage. We are placing
new floor boxes each with a full compliment of audio, power, and video
connections. For the video, we're planning on doing it all over cat-5
since we have to have cat-5 for our Aviom units as well. All will feed
to a patch bay where we can patch video or aviom behind stage. My
question is this: Whats the best cable for doing this? I'm thinking
low skew cat-5.. anybody else doing this? If so, what cable specs
suggestions do you have?
