[itdiscuss] Replacement for PhoneTree

I've recently attended a vendor's showcase where they had a large number
of manufacturers represented. A product class that I had not previously
considered for this purpose came to my attention. It is not necessarily
intended for this purpose but it appears that it might fit nicely. It is
designed for managing emergency alerts.

Take a look at these three options

mmunications/

A little thinking outside the box but I think any of these three (and
maybe others) could fit the bill for a church needing to contact many
people quickly. One key factor for my considering these is their ability
to use our existing ChMS SQL database as the data source for placing the
alerts.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you how these actually work because we've
not implemented any of them.

Subject: [itdiscuss] Replacement for PhoneTree

I have been using PhoneTree for quite a few years and was wondering what
you folks use for mass notifications. My future replacement will need
to use Shelby as a data source.
