We don't block any IM traffic and it's not been a problem in the 6 years
I've been at GCC. I rely on IM to keep in contact with my IT volunteers
weekly.

I have a key user that wants to implement IM. However, I don't want to
bring in a "free" service because of what I think is the security risk.
Am I justified in my security concern? I was thinking the best way is
to implement something internal to my LAN. What do you all think?
