[itdiscuss] user-based internet access permissions

We, like tonyd suggests, set a proxy server address in group policy to point to 0.0.0.0.
Of course there is no proxy server at that location so any pages will just fail when loading.

This proxy is only configured in Internet Explorer. This is what we were looking for as we were targeting to lock down a specific computer that could access our security cameras, but not any outside traffic.

We also locked down IE (as well as the rest of the machine) such that the user would have no way of changing any of the settings.

As a question to the rest of the community... is there any way to block all traffic to external site, but still allow access to all intranet sites? Would we have to setup a proxy to do this?
